End your artistically fulfilling day with dinner at Le Recruitment Café, a classic amongst classics, a few blocks away from the Eiffel Tower at boulevard la Tour Maubourg in the elegant 7th arrondissement. Le Recruitment might be a landmark, but its ambience is upbeat and young. Not much more touristy than most other cafés in Paris, this is still a wonderful place to experience the city’s casual food scene.
The beef tartare is superb, and so is the traditional magret de canard with sautéed potatoes, especially good with a glass of Bordeaux Reserve. This is how you spend a day in Paris, but this is just the beginning. The city has such a vibrant artistic scene that you can spend an entire year exploring its museums, parks and landmarks and still feel marvelled by the city’s charm.
